How to Use One Free Report to Present Two One-time Offers and Get a New User for your Membership Site

May 1st, 2007 · No Comments

All with just a free report? Is that possible?

Mike Filsaime, one of the most successful internet marketers, owner of numerous online properties, did exactly that.

In his free 37 page long report, Mike details all the tools he uses for his internet business, including, of course, tools that his team created and that are available for sale to anyone who aspire to making money on the internet.

But before you can get your hand on this report, you are going to see two OTO (one-time offers). The first one is a little expensive. If you decline it, a second OTO pops out screaming for your attention. At this point, I imagine most of you would have been sold. His offers are just too good to pass by. Don’t believe it, check it out yourself.

When you proceed , you will be asked to opt-in an email list AND to generate an account on the membership site, in order to get the report, although the sales page mentions that ‘Email Me the report’. To me, this is a little misleading.

eBay Affiliate Tracking Problem

April 17th, 2007 · No Comments

eBay’s US affiliate program seems to have some program tracking sales/leads since April 7th, 2007. Here is what eBay had to say about it:

The eBay US team has been working to solve the tracking issue that
began on Saturday April 7th. A fix was implemented over the weekend and
early data is pointing to an overall improvement. Additional data is
required to confirm that the fix is complete.

We don’t know how extensive the problem was and how much commission the eBay affiliates have lost. But we can imagine that if you are a big eBay affiliate, your income is probably going to suffer a little bit of uncertainty. This sort problem further taught us a lesson that it is really important to not put all your eggs in one basket, no matter what.

Moreover, we wonder whether AuctionAds.com is affected by this problem as well.
